Introductions

Before getting into what this blog is for, I’d like to introduce myself a little more. My name is Thamer (silent H, think lions), and I am the Chaos Controller for Linklater Administration. I am also a local poet, land defender, and researcher. My family is originally from Nisichawaysihk Cree Nation in Northern Manitoba, also known as Nelson House. However, my brothers and I were raised in Winnipeg. I moved to Nogojiwanong, Peterborough, back in 2018 to study sustainability at Trent University. I have since graduated and currently work in the area. The arts scene here is so vibrant and the community of people I have found have been so lovely, I decided to stay here. Other little things about me: I love my budgie Sky, and you can find me reading, making art, or bird watching in my down time. 

So, what is this blog? 

As I’ve been finding clients, I realized that people prefer interacting with a brand that is engaged and personable. One of my hobbies is writing poetry and I figured that is a tool to put to use. So, this blog was created. Still trying to find a name for it (ironically I suck at naming things) but here we are. Some topics to be covered here are:
