Where do I even begin? So much is happening right now, on Turtle Island and in the world, it’s starting to feel overwhelming. So, this month, instead of sharing more new information with you about administration things, I thought it would be beneficial to talk about self-care.
Black History Month
Black History Month, which Canadians celebrate during February, is a time to celebrate Black history and culture, uplift Black voices, and reflect on our allyship and internalized racism. These things should be done year-round, but time celebrating is healing for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) communities and essential to our well-being and strength. This month is for us, and secondly a wake-up call to allies. Well, that’s what this month means to me. I don’t speak for every BIPOC person.
How to Set and Achieve Your Goals
Happy New Year! I hope you had a restful and joyful Holiday season. This is the time of year when many of us reflect on the past 12 months and look ahead, noting the highlights and taking stock of areas that need improvement. Usually, we end up with goals for the next year- our New Year’s Resolutions. We have all done this, and many of us (myself included) have probably failed at achieving these goals. This month we will look at how to set attainable goals and how we can meet them.
